Hello guys; What a good bunch of guys here. I am going to order a 05 max,cc,sb,4x4 with plans of immediately putting on a 6" lift with 35" tires. My question is will it fit in a standard garage with 7' opening. I know the length will fit but not sure of the height. If there is anybody here running this set up that knows your info would be greatly appreciated.:help:

I didn't crank my torsion bars any, put them back exactally where the factory had em, and ran 315/70/17 BFGs, I think it sits at about 82'', the Onstar antenna actually bends back going in, lol, its close, but it fits.

Congrats on the new truck! I would doubt that you'll be able to get it in a 7' door with at 6" lift and 35's. These trucks are pretty tall stock. I'm running 265's and the top of my cab light are at 6'3". You might make it, but it will be close.

9w3-HD thanks for the reply Is the 315 the same as 35" I have never bought metric tires before. I'm also going to do the RCD lift.

Depending on the manufacturer and the wheel width, 315s are approximately 34.5 - 35" tall.

I know it will be close but I need to get this nailed down before I buy wheels and tires. I'm looking at 20x10 wheels and Nitto mud Grabbler tires I wan't 33" tires but the smallest they come right now is 35"

Yeah, the 315/70/17 is the Hummer take off, its a tad shorter in profile than the 315/75/17 that most people run, but I knew it had to fit in the garage so I tried it and it turned out perfectally! IMHO it looks great.

Running ProComp's 7inch (use to be 6) with 35's (315/75/15). Wont fit in my garage. See my rig by clicking link below.

You COULD just take the sawsall and cut the garage door opening up another foot or so......:duh:

BTW, I'm running H2's (35" tall or so) with just a torsion lift. No problem in thru an 8 ft door.

BWahhhhhhhhhaaaaaa!!!!!

Devil, with onstar no, without onstar yes. I have a 4 inch Rancho lift (actually 5) with 315/70/17's and including the onstar antenna I am 83 1/4 inches tall. I actually had the same situation when I baught mine hence the 4 inch lift. I think my combo is as close as you wanna get. Here's a pic.

Here's another pic. Another thought, If your gonna put it in a single car garage make sure you get the power folding mirrors. Makes for much less headaches.
