The last few times I've started my truck, it takes a few seconds to build pressure. Maybe its a gauge, but when it runs around 1800-2000rpm the psi is around 65....probably 25psi at idle...this is when the truck is warm. I just replaced the oil too.
Anyone else have any ideas about my oil psi? One time the check oil pressure light flashed, but it immediately built pressure....im clueless

Mine is pretty close to what you have, but haven't noticed the lag initially?

Mine did this in the winter when it was -20* out and my truck had 15w-40 in it. It would take about 5sec to build any pressure, and the light came on quite a few times. It scared me so I changed it out asap and put in 5w-40 and it only took about 1 second build pressure. Its normal now. Same psi as your reading.

I think its the Fram ToughGaurd. I'd have to get under the truck and check. Maybe those are junk?

I always run 15w-40 in my Duramax, am I supposed to be running 5w-40?
