I ordered a new lift pump kit with the harness and bracket today, I read some where about a 10mm plug on the oil filter housing. Do i need a special tool or is this like a regular plug? Any tips appreciated on installing this kit. It is the single set-up not the dual.

I bought one cut a piece out and put it in my 10mm 6 point socket. You can buy a set of metric allens in sockets but more $$$$ than just a single allen wrench. BTW the darn thing is TIGHT!!!!

I just did mine last friday. If you have another person available to help with the fuel tank out and in things will go alot easier. If you like I can PM you some other helpful hints.

i put the allen key on and slid a 14" 1/2 piece of pipe over it and broke it loose. The tank mods are easy, i just did mine a few months ago. I had the tank out and done in a few hours. Biggest thing is get as much fuel out as possible...i left a 1/8 tank in mine and it was a b!tch

I think i allready have the 10mm socket, Would it be any advantage or disadvantage to just cut the line and put it inline instead of removing the connection on top of the tank? I would never put it back stock anyway. Anyone done it this way ?

you can put it inline. Only reason for removing the tank is to change to a bigger pickup. Thats a touchy area depending on who you talk to. Some people swear the stock one is big enough, others swear its to small. I changed the pickup. It doesnt take long plus it makes it easier for the pumps to pull fuel out of the tank.
