as for the above test, i was given the latest hj to use for a comparison towards the va 110 , i also received a 155 powerpup and wanted to compare the stacked times, the power pup that i recived from bullydog was not working and i will have to wait for a replacment, my other power pup that i have is still in a freinds truck,(loves it) and will not give it back soon, as for the tests, they were done all the same hour on my truck with the same gtech, as for the hp numbers i did a stock comparision which produced 225hp at 409lb/tq, which looks to be about 20hp low and 40 lb/tq low, as for the 110 vanaken it yeilded 110.4hp increase and a 225ft pounds, as for the hot juice it yeilded a 117hp gain, and a 255ft pound gain, as for the 1/4 mile times the juice was 14.641 as the 110 va was 14.742, i did a few runs of each to compare but times were about the same, when i ran the gtech times in excell you can usally see the hp and torque gain all the way up the rpm(20hp, 40 tq), as for seat of the pants felling, juice was stonger up front(more wheel spin than va), it took me a while to figure out the power levels, with the hj and it seamed to take another half a revolution to start the truck, as for the temps the hj ran 160 degress warmer than vahttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Big Smile.gif

<DIV>i installed a RFI intake system last night, then did a bit more gteching, it seamed to make on average about a 10hp gain,i could tell a much more lower end response, as for noise, their is a bit more, but think it would be worth the money for my setup, i then used it on the hj and va setup, which i did see more of a gain to the va over the hj, (i think the hj is just defueling more than va threw shifts) ET were with in 500 of a second, but did see a net this time of 135 hp and 360 foot pounds with the hj, so i guess in the price of the two products, it looks in my view the 550$cdn va is a better deal than the 1200$cdn hj, (keep in mind the attitude can be added with the hj), still looking to try out the powerpup with these two stackedhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif</DIV>

http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gifi received oringal power pup today(this is the one with timing removed), i then tonight did some more gteching, i could not do 1/4 mile times due to limping tranny, but was able to compare the first four gears to a stock hp, as you would no, there was large defueling by the hj and va 110 due to tranmission slipping, but the hot juice power pup stack did net a 215hp increase and a 370 lb/tq, as for the va 110 stacked with the power pup it neted a 195hp with 335lb/ tq, keep in mind there is no timing advance in this power pup, which they do have, and will make a considerable increase with the juice (i think) as soon, as they send it to me i will try out

Been a while since I did exchange rates. Seems the Canadian dollar is doing well. Not too long ago it was a bunch different. Every now and then I have to crunch the numbers for some of our Canadian dealers!

I just hate to see the way the government treats business up there.

Yeah the Canadian dollar is worth about 77 cents USD right now.. beginning of this year it was as low at 60 cents.

It sucks for our exporting but is great for importing. I buy most of my toys from the US when our dollar is this good.

I'm curious about your reference of how the government treats business here, what do you mean?

fred get yourself a tranny that will hold a then make some worthwile runs..........stacking with a stock tranny is pointless..........every limp weakens the equation........2+2=4 only works in arithmetic.......not in stacking.......with a stock tranny quad + juice+ whatever = about $5500 americanhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

My dyno experience has the 110 VA neck and neck with the 90 HP Juice at around 336/7RWHP, BUT the Juice is all of 30 Ft Lbs or more higher, AND it came 200RPM lower...

125 Hot is no challenge, as I often see 140's from that one...

fredw

kenedey, as for what i have seen on other dynos, is not what you have seen for the 110, i also was told a month ago, from another member that lives in alberta, he made 110 extra at a dyno with around the tq i have reported with it, so what i can tell, it is making what it is advertised, not like the juice that makes more, i also no if i take the 150va and compare against hj, there will be no comparison, the va will jump all over the juice, again it makes what it says, so what i have found so far is

as for the final verdick of the comparision between the edge hot juice and the va 110 smartbox E

the price of the hj is twice the va, the hj makes more than advertised hp and tq,(extra 10 hp on one reading,) the hj seams to defuel more than va during shifts, the mileage of the va is better than juice(va made 1.5 mpg cdn better than hj at the pump), the juice had more bottom end than va(wheel spin), the truck takes another half a revolution to start with hj, the hj produced 160 more degrees than va on 1/4 mile, juice was quicker on the 1/4 mile(100second)on a stock tran., as for changing tunes va wins hands down, after a hour of trying to change hp tunes we gave upon the juice, it would not allow us to go to the 1 and 2 setting for towing, what a goofy setup edge has, as for the va it is a 3 way switch, installation of the two are the same except for the switch mounting, the hj has the abilty of using the attitude

so as for my own opion, i first will say i have no affilation with either of them other than owning a va for a few years, but always wanting the hj, my 1.5 cents worth

i am not impressed with the hot juice, (which i was suspecting i guess to be on what the dealers said about it,)as for all you people that have it, enjoy, but for others that are looking to buy a tuner, i can now say with my personal exsperience with both of them running on my own truck, the hj is just not worth it, if you are looking for more than the 110hp, va can give you the 150 tune probbaly for the same cost as the 110, or very close, as with towing my va is always on the 110 setting, as for the hj i could not adjust it to tow, as for why dealers sell more juice products than va, that leads to a whole different topic,

i am not trying to cause a pissing contest, just report the factshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clown.gif
