are the v2.o and HPT programs the same? I'm wondering if I would benefit from an exchange to the HPT for pulling our camper around. I thought about going to the HP4, but I cant keep my foot out of the pump now... I might melt something. Besides with all the smoke I am making now, I don,t think I need any more fuel, I am just not sure if there are any other differences. e.g transmission settings etc.

discuss. thank you.

Oh, and edzzed, I really get a kick out of my sig line, but if it bugs you at all I will happily change it. Please regard it as an ode to your contributions to this site, both the helpful and the witty. I use that quote with great respect.

Thanx

i've got the HP4 in my truck and the exhaust temps are actually quite cooler than i would've expected. at first i had a dead LP or a blockage in the fuel system yet everything checked out fine. crusing i see around 450 deg F and if i really get into it(foot thru the firewall uphill) i'll see 900 degrees. the added boost from the turbomaster and the free flowing exhaust also helps lower EGTs as well.

Give Bill Heath a call or send him an email. He can do more to explain the changes than I can. When I got my HPP flash I was concerned about the soft shifts (when compared to my v2.0 flash). He explained how he manipulated the pressures in the transmission to make firmer shifts when you put your foot into it more. This man knows what he sells and loves to talk about it.
