Any one out there with an early 04 GMC 2500HD with a power steering pum leaking? Have put larger tires on the truck and was told would not make leak but just wandering if anyone has any info?

Sounds like you just have a bad pump. I have friends running tires as large as 40" and have never heard of any having power steering pump failures.
