I was driving home tonight and my truck started rattling like a 7.3 PowerStroke, I would let up on the pedal, it would quit. Give it some more and it would get louder then stop as I accelerated past 40mph but it seemed like I was running juice level 5 even though the attitude was set to 3 and the motor was 92 degree's. I set the attitude to 0-stock and the rattle went away. I have never had the juice pull like that until it was warmed up and never had the truck act like this no matter what the temp. I shutdown and restarted the truck but it did the same thing.

Has anyone heard of this before?
Is this an indication the juice is going screwy:help:

try taking the juice out and see if it does it anymore.
what was the temp outside when this was happening?

if it clears when the juice is removed, check with edge to see if there are any updates to their cold weather issues with the motor not at operating temp.

dan it could be that your RMP's were high gm's pilot injection shuts off arround 2600 rpm that might be what you are lisenting to

I know you have an LB7 but I have the same problem with my LLY when the P0181 code is set after having the truck plugged in over night. The thing rattles like crazy between 2200 and 2400 rpm. It's not the piolt injection shutting off. Once the code is cleared truck runs fine through the full rpm range. The Juice just magnifies the problem.

Check my post "P0181 Fuel Temp Sensor -> Low Engine power" in the LLY forum.

Here's an update with more info, when I was driving last night and it acted up the temp was 37deg. I was in 5th gear doing 30-35 mph ~1500rpm when I would start to accelerate it would start rattling louder. The rattling seems to be porportionate to how far I push the pedal however when I would get to a certain point the truck would stop rattling and start pulling like the Juice was set to 5x5. :(

Everything was fine this morning. go figure

NCMIC, I think I'm gonna pull it this weekend.

RVC, I didn't have my truck plugged in but I do have the front cover on. Sounds like we have kinda the same problem but with a different cause. Also, mine never threw a code.
