After all the problems I had last week with the bulbs blowing. I thought it was all good. I was wrong, I go start the truck and "BATTERY NOT CHARGING" comes across the DIC and the volts are down around 12 like last time. Does anyone know what will cause this? And the truck was already warm, I had been driving it.

Mine does the same thing. However I am showing 14 volts from both batts.. Have not had a problem witht he batteries. Could it be the load on the batts from the glow plugs?? I do not get this DIC message every time I start the truck.

After being away for the weekend I came hope and took off the alt. I went to have it tested and the didn't have the hookup for it so I bought a new one. After hooking it up all was good for about 15 minutes then the volts dropped like last time and the lights dimmed as well. You guys are my last chance before I have to go to the dealer without a warrenty.

Do a load test on the batteries. This should tell you if you have a bad battery. Most auto shops should have a load tester. Tested both mine and the alternator when I got the message on the DIC.
