just needing some info on replacing my rear rotors and pads on my dually its a 2005 chevey 3500 4x4 6.6.the rotors are pitted badly and wearing the pads out they are doing this from rust from launching the boat and not washing right.any diagrams with parts needed would be great.it looks like i have to un bolt the rotors to replace them.any help would be great .

remove caliper and bracket.... remove axle bolts (the 8 in the middle of the hub)... remove axle... remove lock nut from spindle... remove rotor and hub as a unit... using a press or a big hammer knock the wheel studs out of the hub... rotor pops off... install the 8 lug nuts holding rotor to hub... replace the hub seal... put it all back together
To make things a bit easier remove only the bottom caliper bolt and swing caliper out of the way, remove the pads then unbolt the caliper bracket, the bolts are TIGHT so be ready to use a cheater bar, the yellow loctite is a pain
edit... make sure you remove the inner part of the seal, factory uses(used) a 2 part seal, replacement may be a 1 or 2 part seal

Not bad, just heavy... and make sure the caliper brackets are tightened to specs, I don't have them in front of me but run a search on this forum and I'm sure it's here somewhere
The rear bearings are tapered so tighten them just like the old 2wd setup, snug it up then back it off a bit till the lock holes line up... for those so inclined there should be roughly .002" play in the bearings.... Oh and check the lube level when you're done, some will spill out.
