I know there are a lot of questions that are asked regarding the best/most bang for the buck when it comes to a module......I think the new Edge ad sums it up...

I don't think you will hear any argument that Edge is not the most sophisticated product on the market for diesel tuning.

Quirks in the LLY version's tuning have hurt them though. Once they correct barking issue, I imagine it will be tuner of choice for LLY's also.

I've never had a bark but do get some 'bucking', the reflash helped but I still get it once in a while.

Bucking Can Be A Good Thing Too!!!!!!!!;)

i do not think it will be but a few more months before the knob company has a digital display, a little late for sure but it is coming it should have alot of the same features, i do have a custom box with all the safety features removed and it runs alot better, by the seat of the pants anyway, everyone will be able to do this soon and it will up the competion which is good for everyone

dig dipper: i knwo we have talked before about this, and it looks like he has got a real nice tune out, will be on the dyno to see the numbers on saturday but it looks to be a winner(westers garage)

McRat....I hear there is a revision to the LLY boxes that will be available next week. You should contact the company/person you bought it from...they should be aware of what's coming. I'm pretty sure it will straighten out your problems...as not everyone was having them.

bigd...I understand. When a company like Edge steps to the plate with a loaded gun and simply blows the competition out of the water...you have to give the rest of them time to catch up.

Don't confuse "FEATURES" with adjustability. The Edge levels are as easy to adjust by pushing the little arrows up and down. For about the same price as the Knob box....you can have more "Features".

Makes one wonder how many of those who are constantly waving the Edge flag and screaming from the mountain tops have had, or stand to have some "extra perk" from Edge? I got a EGT probe for free when i called them and I told them mine died? Also met Aaron in person and he installed my box for free after taking a ride with me to figure out why it was flaking out(seems my early attitude wasnt compatible with the new boxes, I did and upgrade to hot and the old attitude didnt like the new box). If you dont want to play with all the attitudes features you can simply leave all the edges default stuff alone and click a button up or down to just change levels.

So did you guys ever run the Banks vrs edge? Have you gotten the chance to play with an edge tune?

Yes, I ran against an Edge with attitude on the their 125hp tune. The results were posted a while back. That was with the Edge set to low-boost fueling on it's highest level and defueling set on the 4-5 shift only. My 6-gun was set on level 5. Got him by a fender length by the time the speed limiter got involved.

I have tried both and I like the 6gun better for my use. It's smoother, more like stock but lots more power. I tow often and heavy, again, advantage Banks. My buddy with the Edge has gotten 2 reflashes due to no start, and some other problem I can't remember what it was. My 6gun when first installed didn't work and Banks sent me a whole new unit, been great for 10 months now. Neither Manufacturer's perfect. We have never lined the trucks up for a shootout, and no opportunity now as that was in Las Vegas, and I'm living in Mississippi now. Bottom line, I got what I wanted and I'm happy with it. I will also tell anyone who asks my true experiences, good and bad. :rockit:

I have a guy down the street from me thats got the same truck as mine. Im not for sure , but i think hes got 35's. Otherwise trucks r the same. Hes got th Edge (not sure wiych one) and ive got the Banks. You can bet as soon as we hook up again....now that the streets are dry....were going to Git R Done! As i said before i will post the results when i get them.....Win or Lose.

Back on topic.....I drove a truck with a 6 gun.....dunno which version...but it was very soft...didn't seem to pull hard at all. The 6 gun hasn't been on the market as long as the Edge either correct? I have an Ottomind in the garage a guy told me to keep after I put his Juice in for him....guess Banks didn't get it right on the first try either. :confuzeld Seems stacking with the 6 gun has brought no luck as well? :confuzeld

As far as my bad experiences go.....had maybe 2 or 3 no starts...nothing else. The earlier boxes that people claimed fish bite and stuff with....I didn't get....but put the very same module on another truck and it would do it....don't know what else to tell you.

this year i will probaly own both products, and will try them both out at the track with the same truck, may even run them both on a dyno, so until then lets keep on debating

Yes I did and a whole lot more than they sell for today. Edge was generous although with all the upgrades with me.But I paid for the Hot upgrade.

Aaron would always send me a box to try and then I would send one back!That was way cool!

I don't have harsh words for that company Aaron is a great guy as the rest of the guys there. I just dealt with him one and one most of the time,so I know him better.Dam Dodge owner too :D

Almost every "stacked" truck ripping down the track has a Edge box on it.

I finally went for it and bought an Edge/Attitude here at the local diesel shop. I got a great price but did call tech support at Edge first. I talked to Cody, knowledgable guy, and he was well aware of what is rumored - the bucking, cold weather problems, etc. He said that they will have a new flash out next week but still maintains that most of the problems are with the individual trucks themselves. Some seem to have problems - others work fine. He also advised to get a reflash from GM. In spite of all that history, my new unit works just fine. I didn't notice that much of an increase in power from stock as my truck is still stock other than the Edge. I've only got it set on level two but did try level three for a couple of runs. Time to 75 was only about one second quicker. I'm still very satisfied. I will send my unit in for their new flash and get to my dealer for a reflash from them too. When I get the time, I'll get the Attitude installed.

Actually, I knew a Beta Tester at the time....communicated through him and Edge....they told me not to post, I said they were too late....I offered my assistance...
I got an Edge T-shirt, just not sure if it was around the same time all that went on or not. AND IF THEY ARE LOOKING....I got diesel on it and need a new one...the address is the same:p: .
