Now that I'm considering lifting my truck and running a 33"-35" tire, I'm also looking into regearing. What can I expect to spend on regearing both axles with quality components?
I don't need to install lockers or anything like that, I'd just like to get back to the stock overall gear ratio.

Around here it would run about $1100 installed. For that price you could get a programmer and still have $$$ left over. Plus it would correct your speedo and you would get back the power you lost w/ the tires. If your going with 33's you really dont need gears IMO. I know guys runnig 35's-37's on their D-Maxes with 3.73s and no complaints.

Ok, that's about what I expected to spend to regear. I guess I could always skip it now and regear later if I decide that I need to based on power and milage.
Are there any reliability/wear issues associated with running gears that are slightly too high?

You dont need to regear unless you go bigger than a 35, save your money.
