I have made a great hook up but..... I have came across approx 7000 gal of raw soybean oil a month from a feed mill just down the road. My best friends Dad is one of the owners close friends. He has been selling the oil to a company but said if we wanted it we could have it. I am not sure on the price yet but think its going to be about 1.50/gal if anyone wants any. I know its not free but if you are having a hard time finding oil like I was not to long ago this might be the hook up. All of of this is not a sure thing yet but is real close. I would like to see if anyone would be interested in any before I commit to 7000gal a month.

If it is truly unprocessed oil, you'll need to "degum" it before using it to make biodiesel-at least I think anyway. I'm not terribly familiar with soybean oil, but I imagine at least some of the minor components could cause a headache to biodiesel production (the emulsifying capability of phospholipids comes immediately to mind). The good news is that some of those minor components are worth about as much as the oil itself, but the bad news is it isn't a simple process to degum the oil. There are some cheap and dirty methods, but the most efficient methods require a lot of expensive equipment.
