I am looking to buy a set of kicker solo baric L7's and install them in my 03 crew cab. I want to put the box behind the back seat. I have been searching the internet for a week now and as far as mounting depth goes i will only be able to use the 8" subs. The boxes availiabe dont allow enough room for the 10's. Is anyone running theses speakers and if so post a few pics please. Also what amp are you running?

Build your own custom box that will allow you to install a pair of 10's. You will be able to get the air space needed for those subs. Also available to you is a spacer (shimms) to get the mounting depth you need.

Is that to move the seat forward or something?

No this does not allow you to move the seat forward, rather it moves the sub away from the box (out if you will). Then by removing the 5" flip panel on piano hinges you can build a box that at it's base measures 8 1/4". In some cases you don't even need to buy the sub woofer shims. If the box measures 8 1/4" and you use 5/8" partical board you still have a mounting depth of 7" without useing the sub shim. Hope this helps.

I had two 10 L7's in my old truck with just barely enough air space in the box and with a rockford t1500 1 bd i was hitting 140 db of decent bass not the cleanest but usally never turned it up that loud. they were firing directly up at the bottom of the seat too so a lot of db and quality was lost in the chevy you have a lot more room should sound great if you give them enough juice

I would ask what are you looking for? A Ground Pounder? Or nice clean bass? If you want alot of boom I would recommend one L7 or such. If its nice sound go with JL w0's or something similar. Good luck.

My email is truckslovedirt@yahoo.com. any pics would be appreciated. I decided to go with two 8" L7's and a 1500 watt fosgate amp.
