I recently installed the Evolution, with the included EGT probe. All was well until I started messing with the different settings. Two parameters that are available are EGT1 and EGT2, both of which give data readings. Since I only installed one probe, which is being displayed on EGT I can only assume that the other two are using probes or sensors that are part of the original trucks wiring. My question is this; both of the new readings are lower than the EGT probe I installed, which one is more accurate? My probe will give readings of 1000 and the other two would be 150 to 200 lower. I pull a 5'er and sometimes the EGT's get kinda high so it would be nice to know what these other readings are and how accurate. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have the Evolution too. You need to check your list of PIDs more closely.
EGT1 displays a factory probe reading .... mounted just before the DPFkup.
EGT2 displays a factory probe reading .... mounted just after the DPFkup.
You want to find the PID named EGT ... which displays readings from your manifold probe.
I like to monitor EGT and EGT1 on the top 2 quadrants.
I also watch GEAR and SOOT in the bottom two quadrants.
(the same bottom-rt also shows the "R" symbol whenever auto-REGEN is underway)
You can monitor soot levels and see when the ECM begins its auto-REGEN (~45 grams).
At that point the Evo sends you an infuriating message about the REGEN, again & again.
Finally you can clear the repetitive message and see EGT climbing to 1250 degrees. EGT1 follows gradually, eventually equal to (or exceeding) the manifold temp. After 15-17 minutes the manifold temp drops back to normal, maybe 650 to 750, while the DPF temp remains elevated for the last few minutes of REGEN. All the while, you can see the soot reading steadily dropping, eventually to < 5 grams. Lowest I've seen is an actual zero grams, but that's rare. More likely I've dropped off the freeway a bit too soon (or crested a hill to a downgrade) causing the EGT temps unavoidably fall.
It's an interesting show. More importantly, it's essential to track the Soot levels if you elect to tow with a up-tune installed. Hope that helps some. ;)
