Can't you piggyback on the rest of the wires on the driver side firewall. Also, you can look up gauge intalls and just follow the wiring where they go through on the firewall. I'm going to be installing a train horn too, but I'll be using the existing horn button wiring.

Run them through the hole above the brake pedal, or remove the rubber grommet under the driver seat.

I mounted my air horns under the bed of the truck facing backwards. I grounded the air solenoids from each horn to the steel mounting brackets that they came with. I ran the two power wires from the horns to the switch mounted to the left under the steering wheel (rocker switch) by drilling a small hole under the rear driver side door (I took off the plastic piece that covers the kick plate). The two power wires were spliced together prior to running it thru the hole I drilled at the kickplate. Next I grounded the switch to a bolt under the plastic dash. The power lead from the fuse box under the hood runs to the switch under the dash by going through the space between the front driver side fender and the driver side door (I made sure to cover the wire with plastic loom to protect it when the door closes/opens). I hope this info helps as I may have a different brand of horn than you but basically the set-up is same. Take a peek at my garage for pic of the horn placement. Let me know if you need further info. Hope this helps.

Is the air compresor hooked up to the power wires from horns to the switch or is it powered seperately?

got it on last night.... i ran the wires through that rubber grommet under the driver side seat. worked great. currently getting power from a spare battery in the bed. when i run the power wires which battery should i hook them up to or does it matter? or where should i hook them up?

I ran power to the compressor from the "junction" connector under the red plastic flap - under the hood. Be sure to install an inline fuse 30 amp close to the power source in case of a melt down, the fuse will go before the entire length of the power wire does.

Seperately. Go to hornblasters.com and download the elec. schematic it makes connection so much easier to understand. You can even call their number. They were great when I called with connection questions even though I didn't buy the horns from them.

you guys sure do work mighty hard to do air horns, use the horn fuse as a trigger under the hood, Use either A or B terminal for compressor source or tap into hot that is in trailer pigtail. us e the horn trigger and tie into + side of solenoid of horn, when you press the horn button, air horn blow....

Did not want to do it this way. I connected mine independently so that I could maintain the use of factory horn. Also compressor is mounted in bed along with tanks so I would have had to run wires either way....but thanks for the info.

I would think you'd want to keep it seperate, so you can still use the "city horn", as well as keeping it independent of the horn chirp from your keyless entry. Forget the dog, you'll piss yourself when you hit your lock button walking away from the truck doing it the other way. LOL

I'd think the best setup would be a foot switch for the air horns.
