Hi Guys,
New to this whole diesel thing but have drove diesel fire trucks all my life. Different when it's your own truck thought... lol

I've been looking at the Predator to do some programming with but see a lot of guys run the pillar gages to watch what is going on. I've looked around and haven't found one that matches my gray OEM pillar and gages that looks similar. 2005 Chevy 2500HD 6.6 crew cab, 4X4. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Rob (in Michigan)

Rob, having pillar gauges doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the tuner you're using... unless you're talking about tuners that have their interface in the form of a pillar control, such as the Banks Six Gun PDA system. There are several of 'em

Pillar gauges are just that - gauges for monitoring whatever you want in your truck. Typical are EGT and boost. Lots of 3rd gauge choices - fuel pressure, tranny temp, diff temp, ECT (BTW, your factory gauge is lying), and on and on...

There are lots of gauges that look good in our trucks. I'd search the forum and just be diligent in your searching. Autometer, for example, makes some really nice looking gauges.

I run Predator tunes and currently do not have any gauges, though I'm hoping to change that later this year. Good luck!

X2...I put a set of guages in for my wife's truck (stock) since she pulls the horse trailer up some pretty long grades. I'm thinking of putting in a tune, but wanted to see how things go in stock form first. You can look in my garage for the Chevy LBZ to see a photo of the overhead gauges I installed for my wife. Good luck.

you will need to paint your pillar pod to match.I believe Duplicolor has matching interior trim paint or if close enough paint both sides for perfect match.I opted to do both mine black.

For my '05, I chose the Sport Comp. II series from auto meter. My reason why, is cause they are a black background with white numbers, same as the factory and that they are LED. They sell a dimmer switch for them if they are to bright for you, but there not that bright at all, so I didn't purchase the switch. The illumination at night time with the through the dial as the LED's are, is a lot better than the around the dial guages. Hope this helps a bit.
