I am going to start looking for used Duramax's from 01-05's. How many miles is considered high? And any other things I need to be aware of? This would be my first diesel.
Thanks

If it was me, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one with 100,000+ miles if it was properly taken care of.

Where are you from? What are you looking for? People might be able to help you out.. For instance I know of a nice 04 lb7 extended cab short box my buddy traded to the dealer here... They want 32 or so for it I think. Has 33k miles.

I've got an 'o3 with 34,000 miles in super excellent condition that I'm going to sell shortly. (PICKING UP NEW ONE THIS WEEKEND) Look at signature. Taking mods off and selling stock. When I say nice, I mean N-I-C-E.

If I was you I would figure out how many miles I would be driving per year. Then subtract that from 100,000mi and that would be the max miles on a used truck I would buy. This way I would have about one year of warrenty left(engine only).

Take you time, plenty of low mileage vehicles out there. Get something that has enough of the factory warranty left so you have time to feel the thing out.
