I know this is a really stupid question and I will get burned for it. But NAPA gave me the wrong oil filter and I shoulda known it before I drained the oil in the garage. It was a tad longer than factory, but the seal is different. NAPA was closed by time I got there and are closed tomorrow. I won't have a chance to go anywhere else til tomorrow. Can I restart my truck to back it up a little and move it over or let er sit???
I know, dumb huh?

Sounds like you know the answer already. You would be better off to put the old oil and filter back that to start it without oil. :duh:

worst case... drain your old filter and reinstall it. Not gonna be puting any bad stuff back in the engine and your filter is not gonna clog. At least you can move the truck....

Put a shop vac into the oil filler and pull off the filter, pour as much oil from the wrong one to the right one and reinstall. I installed my whole FS2500 with it running and the drain plug out w/o losing a drop. Found this tip on one guys website, I couldn't believe it worked so well.

I would but my drain pan has all kinds of gunk in it. I'll just leave her sit, get a filter tomorrow and slap it on.
