When I bought my truck, I was expecting the mirrors to retain their memory position along with the seats. I have the TTT's, but they do not retain memory. Is that function only for the standard mirror or are mine not functioning properly?
Also, I thought the seats would adjust based on the remote used. That is what I thought the number on the back of the remote is for. Am I also mistaken on this?
I am going to have to go in for the Brake recall next month, and plan to have them look at these if they are not correct.
Thanks for your help.
My seats go by the remote used. As for the mirrors I have the standard ones and they do adjust to the memory.

Figures. Thats what I thought should happen. I will make sure to have that addressed when the recall notice comes.
Anyone have the trailer mirrors that retain the memory?

Here is the TSB on it, now why Ozzy has one that works off the remote, I dont know. You may want to scroll through your DIC, that is where you used to turn on/off the option for the memory recall with the remote. Or you may have fallen into the TSB catagory.

05 Chevrolet/GMC/Cadillac/Hummer H2 All Full Size Trucks and Utilities Changes with Driver Personalization
.
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.
<A href="http://service.gm.com/servlets/BlobShtml?ShtmlFile=1549809&psdid=1058&evc=sm#ss1-1549809">Condition/Concern:
Starting in 2005, all full size trucks and utilities have had a change to the way driver personalization operates. Vehicles equipped with memory seats RPO AN3 will now only recall seat, mirror (DL3), and pedal (JF4) settings for driver 1 and 2 from the buttons located on the drivers door panel. The key fobs will no longer recall memory positions. Radio presets, HVAC (CJ2) and DIC (UK3) setting are now set to the vehicle, meaning there is only one setting for both drivers.
Recommendation/Instructions:
No repairs should be made as this is normal operation.

That's not cool! It sounds like some people with 05's may have got luckier than others! I am going to have to re-read my information, 'cause I thought I remembered this in the brochures etc..
Thanks for the info!

I have not messed with any of the 05's for this yet, so I really cant give you any kind of percentage of working/non working ones. I just remember seeing a TSB on it, thinking to myself that is a pretty stupid feature to remove.

I'm having the same issues with my 05, I was told the keys would work, maybe the salesman was mistaken????
My seats go by the remote used. As for the mirrors I have the standard ones and they do adjust to the memory.
I just went out to double check and sure enough it doesn't work. I'm the only one who uses the truck so I hadn't played with it that much. I do remember the salesman telling me that the two remotes store seat memory. Sorry for the bad info.

in the DIC, you can select how the seat memory is recalled... I choose not to use auto-recall because more than once, the seat went all the way forward. I've also noticed while driving down the road, the lumbar changes by itsself. Not a lot, but noticably.
As for the mirrors, I have the camper mirrors and they do not have memory with the seat or the reverse tilt. I was told this has something to do with the lack of some sensors in the camper mirrors.

Looks like in '05 they deleted this along with all the other stuff! I am just getting ready to complain because it was advertised in the literature, and by the salespeople.

The TTT mirrors could not function with memory because the memory mirrors have position sensors on the mirror motors, which the TTT mirrors do not have. They did not delete the memory feature from 05, they just eliminated it from operating via key fob, you need to press the button on the driver door panel.
