Just installed the Predator on my LLY. Have any of you guys changed the tire setting for a particular tune? I have 265/75/R16's on stock rims. The set up is aking me for 1) tire width, 2) ratio, 3) wheel size. The answer maybe painfully obvious but I'm not sure what to enter. I entered what I thought was the correct data, however, doing a real 20 mph my speedo indicated 100!
What is the correct info? Thank in advance.

so you did the factory setting first as 245/75/16.0 then did the actual at 265/75/16.0? Is this what you did. Just go and reset the parameters and then modify them again. then esc out of everything until you get to the time it is loading the settings. turn on / off and etc.. it sounded like you didn't have something right originally.

NCMIC,
Thanks for your reply. No, I didn't enter the factory tire settings first, only entered my current tire info. Did it the correct way and now it's only off by .5 mph according to my GPS.

glad to hear it is working fine for you. we all get in a hurry some times. i did when i first did mine. wound up not even sending the new load to it and it was way off. but due to places like this, there are several people to bounce ideas and things off of to get the most out of our trucks in the least amount of time.
enjoy it.

You can adjust the first setting (the 265 tire size) to any parameter to get your speedo correct. Some have gone down or up by one or two numbers, say 264 or 263 or 267, 268 to get the speedo correct

2500HD04,
Good tip, I'll try that. Actually I'm pleased with the .5 mph error but I'll give that a whirl.

I just did the tire upsize as well and borrowed a friends GPS to test out the settings. At 40ish or below I'm dead on, 55+ and I'm reading one mph less than actual so I'm thinking that whatever it does to correct it does it pretty well.

yes it does. but you should try to check it at 60 where possible. once you are dead on there, you should be straight everywhere, maybe.

i also have a predator and was wondering if there is a way to make the information on the DIC correct (mpg, gallons used, etc.)?

BaddAssDURAMAX-Nope, the reason it's off is the computer thinks you are sending less fuel than you really are. That's the way the programmer works... That's the major downside to any programmer or box.
