Kinda long....Sorry....:blahblah:

Since this winter and mother nature have been really shafting me on snow(snowmobiling) ive got some dinero sitting around.
Im lookin to split it between sled stuff & truck stuff
Anyways, the last few nights ive been looking through some exhaust posts, and links in folks sigs. I found a sound clip on one page, of a MBRP. I liked what i heard. It was the single pipe one. Check the price of it at a few others places. Found a place that has that one for just under 300 bucks.
Questions:
1.) Is that a good price? From what i can see, its everything need to unbolt old, bolt up new...
2.) This will exit where the stock one does correct?
3.) Since i dont want the tip, this will still come out to about where the stock one does right?? Its not gonna be tucked way back in there w/out it?
4.) Whats the difference between this one and and the 409? Everywheres i looked the 409 was superexpensive(For what im lookin to spend anyways). But i didnt see where it listed any differences.
5.) How does the stainless hold up? Apperance wise? Whats stock? SS isnt it? 6.) Any known drone issues to be aware of?

In case its matters, i dont have a programmer/chip and dont see myself ever getting one. Im merely interested in the exhaust to just help the truck breath some more, and sound a bit different.

Just ordered mine from one of our supporting vendors. $423 shipped, with free tip. This is the XP series SS single 4" exhaust, cat-back for an '05 crew cab shortbed 4x4. It will be on next week, and if it takes my son and I a full hour to install, it will only be because we fire up the bikes for a beer run................

Adam- The MBRP system will exit almost exactly where the stock system does, no need for a tip. Aluminized steel is a lower grade material than Stainless steel. There is T409 SS which will show some surface rust over time, but hold up very well. There is also T304 SS which is a very high grade stainless that will look new forever. Of course you pay quite a bit more for it also. Hope this helps.

BTW, you are killin me with that avatar! :D

Price is good, but support the vendors here. Stock one is a little tuff to get out. I cut mine. New one will bolt and clamp right in place. Excellent fit.

2.) This will exit where the stock one does correct?

Yes

3.) Since i dont want the tip, this will still come out to about where the stock one does right?? Its not gonna be tucked way back in there w/out it?

Same as stock, but bigger.

4.) Whats the difference between this one and and the 409? Everywheres i looked the 409 was superexpensive(For what im lookin to spend anyways). But i didnt see where it listed any differences.

That price is for the alumanized one. The 409 is stainless. It will last longer. You can get the 409 systems for about $450.

5.) How does the stainless hold up? Apperance wise? Whats stock? SS isnt it?

Stainless holds up very well. The pro series (30?) will look better over time.

6.) Any known drone issues to be aware of?

None on my system.

In case its matters, i dont have a programmer/chip and dont see myself ever getting one. Im merely interested in the exhaust to just help the truck breath some more, and sound a bit different.
