:help: I just joined the forum after purchasing an 05 Chevy 2500HD D/A CC 4x4 (traded in a F350 6.0). Love the new truck! I'm starting to mod it with a 8" lift. Does anyone know where I can get a set of rear leaf springs that will raise it 7-8"? I tow alot with it and would like to avoid the blocks. I searched the forum and couldn't find any info. Thanks in advance.

Congrats on your new ride!! I would look into ATLAS springs. They will build them to your specs. 8", 9",10", 11" and so on......I think that if you tell them you are going to be towing with the truck alot they can make a stiffer spring pack for you, I opted for their standard 2500HD spring pack and run air-lift bags to try to help out the ride quality un-loaded.

be careful when getting these aftermarket springs . i have the deaver springs . they ride soft and better than stock by far . they are 8 inch springs . but if you plan on towing heavy you will need air bags for sure. softer ride means softer springs which in the end means you will sag bad . so plan on buying airbags

Can't say that I know if they have a seb-site or not. There is a sticker on my leafs so maybe that has a web-site or phone#. I will try to look and see. There are also companies such as: deaver(more geared towards long travel leafs), national spring co. (will build any size u need), but we run Atlas Spring on my truck as well as my brothers 2500 suburban and are satisfied. Atlas are a bit cheaper than the other companies I listed, we payed $600 installed to give you an idea of the cost. But 8" springs should be a bit cheaper.

Yup, like diesel man said and they they will soften up and sag a bit after months of use, mine settled almost an inch after 5-6 month of towing without bags.

:cool2: Thanks for all the info and the quick replies! This site rocks! It seems like I just did all this modding stuff to my old truck not to long ago, now I'm starting from scratch again. This diesel 4x4 stuff sure can be habit forming.):h

I am still up in the air about it, I like the big weekends but at the same time don't like being on my bike or quad on big weekends(too many people) and I blew out a CV on my dads rail in gordons well this past weekend and am not sure if we will have a chance to get part/fix it before the weekend. I rarely go to glamis end, gordons 2-3 weekends a month. My buddy and his dad just bought the baja shop TT and are hoping to have it out this weekend so im kind of waiting to see where they go.
Wouldn't mind hearing more about your jeep, I actually just sold my turboed 99integraGSR and was thinking that a wrangler might be good for daily driving to school(keep miles off my truck) and be able to toss some paddles on for the weekend.
