Running a P4600HP Carter lift pump with a Hobbs pressure switch 76576 (Napa 701-1608) that is activated at 10 psi boost. Trying to convince myself of the best (most sensitive) location for boost. Is it on the driver side intercooler tube where it fastens to the turbo? I think it is, but just wondering where others have mounted it. I saw on SD instructions, it appears to be on the passenger side (return side?). I think it would be most sensitive on the output (driver) side??? Am I overlooking something?

Most people run it on the passenger side on the intercooler tube or the intake manifold. Id get a bung welded into the tube as theres not much material to drill and tap there. The intake manifold is a lot thicker and can be drilled and tapped easy.

I sure would think it makes more logic to put it on the driver side since that is the output side and it would be a faster response. I'll try it on the driver side of my '02 LB7 and see what happens, and report back.

Oohh yah! The driver side is very responsive. I guess I'm good to go now. Thanks for the comments.
