bought a mount at diesel dynamics. It's black and will look like crap when installed without the primer/paint. Which vendor sells this stuff? BTW, had I not already lost the reciept, I would probably take the thing back. I do not recommend the attitude mount that DD sells. It is not the full pillar design. I don't think mine will be as sturdy as those ones, but I'll put it in because the mounting arm that comes with the edge kit is horrible on the freeway. Monitor vibrates all over the place. Thanks for the help.

Have you seen the trippin overhead mounts? Wow they are nice.

I have the base truck. No overhead console in mine or I would have bought the trippin mount. I blew all my money on the engine/trans. No money left over for trim level upgrade.

I have seen it on egauges.com. I also think that dieselperformanceparts.com has the right stuff

Anybody have to modify the overhead mount to get the attitude to fit ?I had to shave a tad out of one of the corners(bottom right) for mine to pop in and be snug and I made a fastener for the attitude so nothing would move around.

Mine popped in just fine - no trimming necessary. I am pretty impressed with the consistent gap all around as well. Trippin' did his homework on this one.

Try Mark Craig at DPPI, He sold me the full pillar mount and the primer/paint to match the color. Looks as good as the stock pillar and believe me, I paint like Ray Charles. Give him a call. He'll hook you up.
BTW paint was VHT.

DPPI= www.dieselperformanceparts.com (http://www.dieselperformanceparts.com/) just so you know..
oh and FYI..I think my overhead area was deformed so it had nothing to do with the mount itself. once I shaved the tiniest bit from a corner it fit like a glove

Just thought I'd add somthing. I had my J/A mounted overhead for a couple months and got tired of it (I had the ATS mount). Didn't like having to take my eyes off the road to refocus and look up then refocus and watch the road again. It started to feel alittle dangerous to me.
I now have my J/A mounted on the pillar with one of DPPI's full pillar mounts. Works great and doesn't vibrate at all.

actually this is a good point so what I did was set all my alerts on the Attitude so I never have to take my eyes off the road unless the warning beep comes on which has only come on once when boost got over 25psi. I have EGT warning, boost warning, and tranny warning..
