looking for a place to order a front axle shaft for my 04 d/a 2500 hd. anygood sites to look for one? my repairman got a price for after market and the dealer price was twice that for a oem replacement axle shaft?

Do you mean just a CV shaft? Advance I know carries A1 Cardone, the same that many aftermarket vendors (Cognito, etc.) will sell you for quite a bit more.

yes, i meant the cv shaft, i believe i broke a cv joint while in 4hi. i heard clunk noise going thru a mud hole and it quit spinning. i assume it is all one piece with boot, just replace the whole shaft?

Yeah for $90 I'd just replace the entire thing. Make sure that's your issue first of course.
