does anyone make a manifold to turbo pipe?
the stock pipes are only 1.5" and really restrict a well running motor.
If anyone could weigh in on this as to a manufacturer or a person that can manufacture a bigger pipe for the LB7's I would be greatful.:deal:

If anyone could weigh in on this as to a manufacturer or a person that can manufacture a bigger pipe for the LB7's I would be greatful.:deal:In my experience enlarging the pipes as you wish will kill turbo response and increase EGT's. Mostly due to Less exhaust velocity in the larger up pipes, and the heat loss that will result. Turbos are driven more by heat than exhaust flow. Besides which, you would need to neck the pipes back down for the exducer to mate up to.
Your best efficiency gain would be a bigger pipe off the exhaust.... or a bigger housing... one of which is not possible.
If you are looking for EGT relief the biggest restriction on our diesels is the turbo itself. ATS makes a bigger turbo, DTT is making Twins.
It all depends on what your needs are.

On edit i contacted Burns Stainless (one of a handful of companies with the bending capability and proper grade of S Steel for a high heat turbo application willing to do a one off) and they are pretty adamant about the heat issue as well... plus you would be dropping somewhere north of 1K for what you are seeking.
