I was just curious who comes up with the tow ratings for vehicles.

I was looking through my 2004 Trailblazer manual the other day. I hit the towing section. It claims that thing can tow 5,100 pounds! It has a tough time towing ITSELF! I could not imagine putting 5,100 pounds behind it to yet!

Now.......if I can figure out how to get a goose through the rear hatch on this baby, I can tow our 32 footer! :D

I just saw a new tundra that had probably 10,000 lbs in a landscaping trailer.

I was waiting for the front tires to come off the ground.

I wanted to get a picture but the guy who owned it was right there and I didnt want him to ask why I was taking a picture and have to tell him to post it on the diesel place to make fun of it:p:

You could have used some tact and said something like, "I never realized how heavy duty Toyota was making trucks now a days" - of course you would have had to say that without laughing - don't know if that would be possible

Maybe it was "sitting" there for a reason? :D
