Is there any power programmers out there like the edge with adjustable power stages for the 6.0L?

These diesel tuners are a truly unique phenomena.

There is nothing for a gas motor that compares. The Edge produces 120RWHP in minutes. To get that gain with a 6.0 Gen IV engine, you'd have to either:

Big wet shot of nitrous

Serious heads, cam, and headers

10 PSI supercharger


No "tuner" is going to going to get more than perhaps 25rwhp in a GM gas truck, and then you need to run premium to get the gain. Tuners for the diesels go from 40rwhp to 200rwhp.

I use a Hypertech III on my 6.0. I don't feel there is a lot of power to be gained but performance will see nice improvements by firming and changing the shift points. You also have the ability to change the speedo for tire size increases that the dealer may not be able to match.

Don't buy a programmer for your 6.0L if you're looking to make your truck faster, but rather for firmer shifts and adjustments that can be done. You can't really feel the difference 15hp makes in a 6000lb truck.
