I was reading on another post that the "work" trucks are not compatible with factory CD players? is this true? Is aftermarket my only option? I went to "build your own chevy" on the chevy website and built a "work" truck to see what options are available with it... the cd player option does not appear in the options menu (but it does appear on base models and above), maybe that helps!

I would go with aftermarket just because you can get a lot nicer unit for the same money as a factory cd player.
