So everyone running a tune to block the EGR codes do you still have the EGR plugged in? I was thinking leaving it unplugged might be the better way to go b/c even with a plate the valve will still be opening during a cold start allowing PCV oil into the cooler. What do you all think about this? Those with a PCV reroute no worries ;) .

When you say "tune" to block EGR codes are you talking EFI Live or something else? If it’s EFI L. the EGR won't be opening and closing anyway. It functions by telling the computer to only operate the EGR in circumstances that never exist.
If you are only “blocking” codes or erasing them as they appear with some other device, you might as well leave it unplugged. That would keep the valve from operating and its going to throw codes for insuffecient flow with the plate anyway.
I have mine plugged in because I have a fingerstick and you need it plugged in for the stick to do its job.

Thanks, to clarify something like a PPE tunner that only blocks the codes. I am going to unplug it.
