I have a 05 lly and have heard that running b100 could start causing my rubber components to degrade. The place i read this was talking about older engines but did not say how old. Do i need to worry about this?

I was told that if you have a truck that is 93ish and newer that the bio won't harm the engine as long as it is washed by a professional bio company

I have 30K+ miles at B50-B100 with no major issues.

Mods - Can you please move this to the Fluids section?

Are you making your own or purchasing it from a source?

I make my own biodiesel and have almost 13,000 miles on my 2007 Duramax with no problems at all.

I think the only rubber you have is the O rings in your fuel filter. You'll be changing your fuel filter LONG before the rubber goes bad......I would hope

Thanks guys for all in information. I am looking at making my own bio as well. Any input would really help.

Which one did you make and how hard was it to get working? Is it easy to use?

The Science is Solid,,, its the maker that makes or breaks the process,, if you handy with tools,, you can build one pretty easy, just takes time, I made an appleseed, it works just like the instructions say it does,,, a few hours here and there will make you up a great batch of fuel. All of my first 26 gallon batch is in my tank! Motor seems quieter and I can hear the roar of the exhaust and my turbo spooling up faster.

I am very good with tools and making things so I think I will do that. What are you guys using as a washing setup? Plans from the website or a different system?
