: A hello to you guys.
awd4life 05-12-2008, 03:33 PM Hey guys, I just wanted to pop in over here and say hello. I am a part of the new team over at Autoforums. I know that there have been a lot of rumors running rampant around the site, and there have been a lot of awkward moments regarding us, but I just wanted to say that we are looking out for the best interest of the site, and we want to continue with the success of the site, and hopefully make it better.
On a personal note, I am one of the new admins for the site, and I am from New Mexico. I was born in Colorado, so I claim that sometimes, but I have spent most of my life in NM. I have been into cars for a long time! I have had everything from a 73 Olds Delta 88 with at 455 Rocket underhood, to a 93 Jeep Wrangler sporting 33X12.50's, and now my second Subaru WRX. I have yet to get into an oil burner, but my dad has had one since I can really remember. Unfortunately, he has always had a PSD, but we wont talk about that on here. ;)
If you guys have any questions for me, just hit me up and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
typhoon 05-12-2008, 04:22 PM Hey, all is well and I 2 say, awd4life.
El Calor 05-12-2008, 04:53 PM Hello! My name is Doug and I am also here to provide support for any technical issues that might arise from time to time. If there are any features, software upgrades or graphics that you guys would like to see please let me know! Hopefully we can take a very good site and make it even better.
This forum has been key to myself learning some of the interesting details of my Truck. It has also allowed me and many others to help out each other on the different issues we all face.

This forum has been key to myself learning some of the interesting details of my Truck.
I have learned so much on forums from the very first one that I joined. It is a great resource for all of us to have, and a great place for enthusiasts to get together and talk to other's that "Get it," because girls just dont care about this stuff! HAHA! They sure do like riding shotgun though, dont they?
Brooklyn tow 05-12-2008, 05:41 PM Thanks for the Hello, It's nice to see the suits come from behind their desks and introduce themselves.
Personally whatever rumors that were/are flying around are just that,.....Rumors.
Lets let bygones be bygones and move in a positive foward motion from here.
You guys might not know it yet, but you have a good, strong, loyal bunch of members here and the moderators deserve the credit for that. They Steer this ship and their Knowledge, Input, Time and Loyalty are "Second to None".They are the reason this 6.5 community is so tight. For me anyway, the members and the mods are/is what keeps me comming back.
So once again, thanks for comming down to the Dinosaur Den, Hope we can all work to keep this "Place" Moving in the right direction because it's one of the best Free information forums out here.
Thanks,
Louis

No? Ok... Well it was worth a shot :D
As for vendors, I'd like to see you guys bring BD diesel onboard (If they arn't already and I'm just blind or ignorant) I think they have a lot to offer not just the 6.5's but the whole page.
knkreb 05-12-2008, 09:30 PM ahhheemmm, new admin's... you're gonna have to dab some diesel on, and learn the secret handshake if you don't boast a diesel in your driveway... ):h
tileman2003 05-12-2008, 09:58 PM Welcome, You guys are now a part of the most informative site I've ever seen or been apart of. I've been wrenching on cars since I was about 13, a long time ago... When I was looking to buy a Duramax I found this site and It's all been Informative and educating. Now that I've said all that it's time for you guys to step up, get a D-Max, and find out why we all hang out here and drive the #1 truck on the planet, G.M. :D

NovaGuy 05-12-2008, 10:41 PM Welcome to the most helpful and helped GM diesel site online. Will be hearing from you soon.
knkreb 05-12-2008, 10:46 PM Brooklyn, as said many times before, this ain't our show, it's everyone that makes this place what it is today. If it weren't for everyone's experience and helpfulness we'd have nothing. You guys are the greatest site asset there is.
Just gotta remember, that this is our little secret here right? If word gets out that the 6.5 is a good engine, folks will be asking more money for them when they sell 'em. ;)

Do you have any of the piston return springs with the left hand and right hand rotators?
awd4life 05-12-2008, 11:21 PM Do you have any of the piston return springs with the left hand and right hand rotators?
We only have the left hand. In their stead, could I interest you in a High Performance Inline Rotary Flange?

Thanks for posting the thread and it's good to hear from you. I too will second the statement that this is the best forum I have ever been a part of and without it I would have already parted ways with my truck. I would have never figured out what she needed.
On the question of features. I would like to see the search function modified to allow two letter words as so many important components are refereed to with two letter names such as IP. I understand the problems with it pulling up to much data but was wonder if there is any possibility of making it case sensitive or full word only. Just an idea.
gonnasellit 05-13-2008, 09:12 AM Do you have any of the piston return springs with the left hand and right hand rotators?
If not, they're readily available at a good price from Steaksauce. He has them in both red and green.

As you have stated, if we drop the search term down to two letters then a search for "to" or "it" could bring the site down. We might be able to add an additional search such as Google search that would only search the site and that might help in the instances. I will talk with the guys and see if we can get that added :)
acesneights1 05-13-2008, 04:01 PM Perhaps the new owners need to be warned of Steaksauce. He may come sleazing around with new ownership on board.
