Its funny that it can be so difficult to try to do the right thing. Even in the most progressive and eviromentally friendly state.

I believe the key phrase in that article was "his fleet of vehicles." Could have been just 2 but I get the impression it was more.

I think federal law allows you to make up to 400 gallons/year without having to pay federal taxes. State regs probably vary by state so you'd have to check for your location. If memory serves, PA for example also allows you to make up to 400 gallons/year for personal use tax free. But I can't find the link where I read that ATM and the memory isn't what it used to be...
