I have XM and renewal time is here, price is 12.95 monthly and it's the same for Sirus, it was posted here a while back where there was a code number you gave the service operator and you would get a price break. Does this still exist? Thanks.

This may be a little late for you but it should still work. "zwinback" is the code that has been discussed on some audio forums that I've browsed.

I didn't use it.

When I called to renew at the end of April I said "my dealer told me about a $77 renewal special" and "can I get that?" The operator said sure, not a problem. I also asked if they could send me an invoice instead of using my credit card over the phone. That way they can't "auto renew" me next year at the full rate.

The complete conversation took less than 5 minutes.

Good luck

They will renew for $77 as of March with "zwinback" I just used a secure credit card number I had set up that only had $78 on it in the first place. Good luck with them trying to "auto-renew" and I'll be notified if they try.

I just got the lifetime plan for my sirius the other day. I plan on keeping my truck for a long time plus you can change the plan over to 3 different receivers without a new subscription if the original receiver fails.

I tried to cancel my subscription... I couldn't believe when I was driving I heard a commercial.... Yea, a friggin commercial. I think it was Ditech or something... but I thought satellite was commercial free

I called them, they said the radio programs (Stations) sued them to have advertisement and won... so there are about 4 or 5 channels that have commercials...

I said, Cancel my account. Refund what is owed to me. She offered me the $77/year rate... I said NO... CANCEL IT

Then she offered 3 free months... I said NO CANCEL IT

She asked why about 4 times... told her everytime... I can get radio for free with commercials, I sure as hell am not going to pay for it.

I said I want to go out to my truck tomorrow morning and not have a satellite channel available... so now I talk with a supervisor

Supervisor offers three free months

I got pissed. Explained it all over again to her.... she agreed to refund my money and take me off their active listener list. The refund showed up the next day. This was the first weekend in May.. I still have XM radio in my truck

I think is take at least a month after they cancel it before it stop workin. My truck had XM for about 2 months after the previous owner canceled it.

I also got the lifetime membership to Sirius. It pays for itself in 3-4 years. I will have this truck over 10 years!
