Can anyone buy a Tech 2?
What is the price?
What does the Tech 2 offer that say the predator does not?
I know the adjustment for high idle can be done, anything else that is important?
What about software updates?
Which vehicles does it cover?
Thanks in advance guys.

It covers some GM vehicles back to 1991.
You can also buy a 3 in 1 card that will do american made cars and generic OBD II
What are you really looking to do with it? Pretty expensive code reader.

Not for me, but a friend who is a mechanic for a construction company with 4 duramax pickups was thinking about after I mentioned trying to have my high idle adjusted at the dealer. He already owns a snap on scanner, they are very well equipped at this company. Sometimes money is no object when it comes to equipment maintenaince. I will check ebay now. Thanks for the info.
:duh:
Will there be any difference between the Chevy and the GMC trucks with that scanner?

Hey guys. Are there any other scanners on the market that would come close to the Tech 2 for the duramax? Like reading/cancelling codes, making adjustments (eg high idle), Looking a TCM codes and so forth?
Basically what I am asking; is there a scanner that can do everything the Tech 2 can but only for our trucks (instead of all GM vehicles) and at a cheaper price?
I found one Vetronix Tech 2 with GM software 92-04 for $2800.00.
Anybody think that is a good price?
Do different brand names make a difference?
