I am in the middle of putting my PIAA lights in for back up lights.

I want to use the constant 12v power from the trailer plug, (big red wire)

Right now I get no reading off the wire or plug.

It looks like it traces up to the fuse box in the engine compartment, to "Stud #1"

In the place of a fuse, it has a little red thing the size of the fuse that say's "B+" on it, it looks like its where the fuse should be for "Stud #1".

I look in the owners manual and it says "Do not install fuse here"??????

Do I install one anyway to get power to my plug?

Why would it say "Do not install fuse here"?

It's called a shunt. Replace it with a fuse and you will be in business.
