After installing my Edge Evo, I notice when towing, I'm constantly running over 1300 deg EGT and into the low 1400's. Recently went into Limp mode twice and feel the EGT numbers were the reason, but not sure, I'm still learning.

Seems I read that you do not want to run over 1250 deg regularly, bad juju or something.

I'm curious, what are the ideal temps to be running and what do you want to stay away from? Do you "drive" the truck constantly watching for excessive temps?

Good, bad and ugly, whats going on with those EGT temps?

And how do you cool that LMM monkey down?

Put a 4" exhaust on it from the downtube back

You dont want to go over 1350 for long periods of time. The only way to get the egt's down on a LMM is to do a turboback exhaust

I saw a video tutorial that Nick made up. He said you can lower the EGTs with EFILive by changing the fuel, boost, and timing cells with the program. This was on an LLY not sure about a LMM.

Jl, when you're towing, do you leave the tranny in drive or do you take advantage of the manual mode. I found that using the manual mode on hilly terrain and keeping the rpm's up will lower your egt's.
