What determines if your truck comes with flares that are black or painted to match the truck? I'm looking at an 2500 HD LS in Summit White and thought that maybe I had to get an LT to get the matching flares but some of the LTs have black flares too.... I see no option for the painted flares. Is it a random thing of am I missing something...:help2:

I just thought you guys might like this one. I creased my left rear flare some time ago. I was at the stealer getting some injectors replaced today, so I asked for a quote on what it would cost to fix this. Basically, replace the one (pewter) flare and take a Q-tip and touch up a SMALL chip in the paint.....$420.86. I looked on-line and the flare is only $154 at GMPARTSDIRECT.com. Of course the dealer quoted me "list" price which is $236, plus a ton of labor. These things use 3M adhesive! So what every you do, don't ever crease one....whatever color you get. Or at least repair it yourself if you ever find yourself in this situation.
