Anyway, about to buy a 2005 Chevy E/C D/A 2wd.

What warranty do you get with the Dmax / Allison? All the Chevrolet site shows is the 3yr/36K mile warranty. Does the Dmax powertrain get a longer one? This is one thing that has me worried getting a Dmax over a cummins with a 7/70K warranty.

BTW, I put 4,000 miles a month on my truck so a 3/36 warranty would be up in about 9 months :eek:

3 yr / 36 entire vehicle. 5/100K engine ($100 dedeuctible per visit), Emission control stuff to 100K

SO the allison is still 3/36, that kind of sucks, hope its as good as they claim

you can alway get the GM ext warranty to push it out from 3/36k to 5/100k

Just make sure you buy it before the 3/36k expires.
