You should purchase one of Nicks tunes from duramaxtuner.com, or call up IdahoRob, or Brayden and ask them about purchasing a tune. That way you have a good base tune and you can modify it a bit here and there to fit your likings.

why dont you pull the tunes off the library and compare the changed areas and I am sure you would beable to see the differences in tunes.

I dont understand.... maybe its the 10 double spiced rums, but a commanded 30PSI boost is a commanded 30 PSI boost.
Log your tune, 20 PSI sounds decent to me on a launch. I dont hit 30 PSI until 3000 RPM. If you need more boost earlier, just program it...

Great attitude!!!!! I might consider backing up a little and instead of 30lbs take a few small steps, become familiar with all the features and functions of EFILive, especially the logging, mapping and tracking. Then build a smaller tune with say 24-25lbs and work on it until it not only runs good on top end but drives well on the street.
As far as boost goes, try logging your desired and actual turbo vane position and build a correlation to your desired vs actual boost. Remember, closed or larger vane position equals more boost at the cost of more drive pressure, open or lower vane position equals less boost and less drive pressure. Since it takes heat to build boost you may need to add some fuel to help obtain the level of boost you desire.
Take your time, log everything and study those logs. Turn it up a little at a time and keep comparing logs of your tunes to your stocker's logs.
Good luck and don't be afraid to ask questions!!

Not sure about the LLY's, but on my LB7 I had something simmiler that turned out to be Brake Torque Management. Mine would hold all of about 2200 RPM at about 13-15 PSIG of boost pressure. After I disabled it, there is no stopping my truck with the brakes...It'll push right through them. Worth a look anyways. That is one thing that I have found with tuning on the duramax-alot of making a good tune is finding all the tables and functions that are limiting fueling, timing, torque ect.

Don't forget that whatever number(s) you place in the table, you need to subtract about 14.5 from to get the actual boost pressure. The values are atmosphere+boost.
