Just wanted to see who is running CPMac's single disk clutch setup and what your thought's are about it. I'm planning on purchasing one if the tax man is good to me. How noisy is the SMF? How well does the single disk hold? I may pull a sled once or twice a year and drag race no more than a handfull of times. Most of the time is spend pulling an enclosed car trailer weighing about 8k pounds. Just doesn't seem feasable for me to go dual disk for a mainly street driven truck. Mods are in my sig. with the addition of a VA 220 box from JK.
I appreciate any info. :)

Any sled pulling with a single disc is pretty hard on things. I run a double disc but I have rode in a single disc and they do pretty well. It will hold the big VA just fine.

Thanks Gray Max.

Any sled pulling I do will be very minimal, if any at all. I'm more into playing on the street and occasionally the drag strip. That's why i figured that the dual disc wouldn't be the greatest for quick shifts. I appreciate the help. ;)
Anyone else?

I've got Craigs single and am very happy with it so far. The dual has too harsh of engagement for me.I think for what you are going to be doing with your truck the single should do ya.The SMF/Clutch is noisier alright but nothing unacceptable.I was really worried about the extra noise before the install but it turned out to be not to bad at all.You get use to it after a little while. It is only noisier when you are sitting idling with your foot off the clutch and when engaged and you lug the motor down around 1000-1300 rpm. It's a small inconvenience for the benifit or having a clutch you know will do what you need it to with no worries.:)
