There was a similar flap about a $10,000 fine for a guy in NC last year, but the state legislature passed a bill exempting home bio-diesel brewers and veggie-oil users from the tax. Wow, NC ahead of California on an environmental issue!

The feds let you use 400gal of Home brew or SVO per 1/4 before you have to pay any road use tax. Most states are going along with that lead. I guess Commieforina is not on that list.

I would guess that you pay a huge reg. fee to make up for not having to pay fuel taxes.
