I am running the predator on the 65 hp tune towing about 4000#. I noticed that my grade braking doesn't work tha same as stock. It downshifts slower, and then when Igert ready to accelerate a the botttom of a hill, the tranny won't shift. It is like it is stuck in the lower gears. Once I stop and take off again everything is normal. Is there a "learning curve" for the Ally for grade breaking with increased HP?
By the way....the Predator rocks!!!:ro)

Mine does the samething. Set the cruise or take it out of T/H at the bottom of the hill and it will up shift.

I change to the Stock Tune when I tow. I tow a 7000 lb trailer. The stock tune does the best job IMHO.

That sounds moreso like a gliche in the program. You might e-mail Diablo and advise them of what is happening so they can run this to ground. The best "test bed" for these units is those of us using them. ;)
You might check the owners manual on the Predator for their recommendation on towing with their program. While 4k lbs is not a lot of weight, towing with the 65hp setting can kick the EGT's up quickly as well as work the Ally pretty hard between shifts, especially if you have a tendency to lean into the pedal. The Predator doesn't defuel between shifts. Later. JJ :)
