I asked my dealer and they said not to.
I asked a bio deisel fuel dist. and he didnt have a clue.
I asked a guy who installs bio tanks in the back of trucks to run on only VO and he said he didnt have kit for the '08 yet.
I asked about bio then and he told me I had to spend about $1,000. to convert my engine over to take the bio.
He said it had to do with the new emissions stuff they intalled on there.

So my question is, is there anyone out there with an '08 thats running Bio and what did you have to do?

Thanks....

Nothing has to be done to to the truck to run biodiesel. The factory allows B5 and it is listed in your owners manual as such.

The only problem is the new DPF's, and how they handle the regen cycle. Some emmisions system do a post regen cycle where extra fuel is added to the exhaust at the point before the dpf, while some systems add extra fuel in the cylidner itself. Well this might cause cylinder washdown and possible contaminated oil. That is why the new CJ-4 oil was made to control ash so the dpf won't go bad. The Cummins does post cylinder and the duramax does it in the cylinder (extra fuel). Just FYI.

Just do regular oil testing and that should help...:D
