I have recently gone into a business venture with an engineer friend of mine to make B100 biodiesel. I will procure the used cooking oil and he will convert it into biodiesel. We figure that the cost will wind up around $1 a gallon. I would like to hear feed back from anyone who is already making and using B100.

I am in the process right now of collecting WVO (waste veg. oil). Once I can secure enough to make it worth my time, I am going to begin producing biodiesel. I have found it semi difficult to secure the WVO. Try the mom and pop restraunts and deli's to try and get their WVO. I think producing the bio is actually coming out to close to $1.50 now though since the price of methanol is going up. Good luck on your ventures and keep us updated.
PS> I have requested an alternative fuel subforum. Maybe if we get enough people bugging the new owners we will get what we want!!

Are you guys using some of the conversion kits that are sold online? Or are you making your own?

Use the maintenance and fluids section for now, we'll see what we can do about an alternative fuel section soon.

What year & kind of vehicle are you converting, and where are you getting the kit from?
I want to convert my 2002 LB7 Duramax to Veggie, but can't seem to scare up any info on doing it properly & keeping the FICM Computer cool. Anybody out there have any experience with this that they want to share?
