My factory Goodyears(215/85R16) have developed sidewall cracks at 40K miles..desert dryness?...and I need replacements this afternoon. I pull a 16K lb fifth wheel so I need to hold up on sidewalls. I've looked on line at Michelin's and Big O tires made by Cooper and the Big O's are a lot cheaper. Anyone have them? I'm up for other suggestions.....

Well, since I had to make the decision...I researched off and on all morning in between work and narrowed it down and bought the BF Goodrich Commercial tires at Sam's Club. They're actually made by Michelin and seem to be sturdy enough to do what I need on the road. If I was going off-road I probably would have bought the Goodyear Armour tires. Let's hope these do better than the last set...

My last dually and this one really liked/likes Coopers. I put Michelins on this one when I got it, but it didn't like them at all. Went back to Coopers and they are just wonderful. Affordable too. If you don't go off road much at all, I would suggest the SRM-IIs in the 10-ply. Should be a great tire for you.

I have the Discoverer-HTs (Highway Tread) 245/70-17 10-plys on right now. Love them, too.

go to www.1010tires.com and read the reviews on tires. I heard the commercial BF's had soft sidewalls/ridgidity issues. I would go with a 10 ply Toyo tire to save money or Bridgestone A/T Revo if $ is not an issue.
