: Drag racing cars with my D-max
sean walsh 02-13-2005, 08:23 PM Went to the gas station tonight to fuel up my truck and was watching some guys talking about racing...After fueling my truck i drove up to them and asked what are they racing? They said why, and i said can we get something going with this truck?? They said they would give me 4 cars and the leave in the quarter, I said just let me leave and then i gave him BIGGEST ASS WOOPIN..By the way it was a 97 camaro with a few upgrades like gears, pulleys and exhaust...I told them not to ever under estimate the Diesel Power...

Cobra#3747 02-13-2005, 09:07 PM Here is a little trick if someone wants to give you x amount of car lenghts, take it, but start from behind them, tell them to leave once you are next to them, by then the speed you have, along with a reaction time being all messed up for them, you increase your chances that much more.
dpower 02-13-2005, 09:16 PM nice kill!
McRat 02-13-2005, 09:34 PM Good kill!! :D
Giving someone the "move/leave" is about 1/2 second. If you can get the move, always take it.

I dont know one real drag racer that will fall for that ....Looks great on paper but you would have to be dumb as **** to do it...Thanks all for the props....This race just made for a great sunday night....:D

Yes i have to agree with you on that...We do have a (safe ) spot near our home where ther are no cut ins and no other traffic to watch out for...But yes i no that is no excuse..You just get caught up in the moment..I usually just stick to the track....
NorCal 2500HD 02-13-2005, 10:49 PM I know i was just playin around.......That was the pot calling the kettle black right there.........back when the velle ran 11's with the SB I could find runs all the time.....now that were in the 8's, BB and on the bottle its a lot hader and a lot more dangerous on the street......but granted it does see its share of street duty.....

But I'd imagine the tubs and huge slicks kinda scare prospective opponents off! :Whoa:

NorCal 2500HD 02-13-2005, 11:32 PM i think its more of the wheelie bars and the chute......
Cobra#3747 02-14-2005, 09:10 AM I dont know one real drag racer that will fall for that ....Looks great on paper but you would have to be dumb as **** to do it...Thanks all for the props....This race just made for a great sunday night....:D
LOL... If a real drag racer fell for that they would have some issues, they didnt sound like real street racers.
Nice kill by the way, I love making people look stupid with the truck. Clown here at work thinks his 3 series BMW is all that, the look on his face when we pulled into work. :grd:
