im trying to wrap up my 1982 cj project before the summer and im now onto the wiring. im new to this part of the restoration so im looking for some help, heres where i am.

i swapped the 151 for a 258 along with a junkyard harness for the new engine, rebuilt the engine and now im trying to put it all back together. the harness isnt cut up too bad but it wasnt labeled. the gauges are all set i figured that out, but im stuck on the engine. where do i start? whats the best way of going about figuring the wiring out for a newbie?

I have a wiring diagram of the CJ but I was not able to post it for some reason. Basically I just did a google search and found it. Helps out quite a bit even if its difficult to read at times. Could also get a chiltons manual and that would be easier to read and follow. Either should work as a 82 wont have much for electronics. Mine had a computer controlled carb which was removed for something different so I removed all computer controls on my jeep. Once you figure out the lighting, starter and alternators, there isnt too much left in the front.
