todd9146 02-13-2005, 07:00 PM my 4l80e in my 93 2500hd likes to loose overdrive after a while and stays in 3rd.if i shut it off it will go back into overdrive,sometimes it will hold in overdrive for a day sometimes it wont hold at all, no trannsmission shop can tell what is wrong and the computer only will say ratio problem.tranny is rebuilt. fluid not burnt GMCSID 02-13-2005, 07:16 PM Is the fluid ok? If it's burnt I would say there is 4th clutch damage. There is a common problem in the valvebody with a valve that wears out. Sonnax makes a kit to repair this. It's the actuator feed limit valve.
