As you can see from my sig I have a 91 van/bus. The seats are huge, heavy, and difficult to move. Is it possible to separate the back of the seat from the bottom or are they welded together?

Why are you moving them ?

Need to deal with some rust and the seats are in the way. I found the answer myself. Two bolts on each side of the seat.

Whatta wimp! :) (just kidding) I have to drag all my seats out a couple of times a year by myself! Can't say I enjoy it though and I usually have to stay in bed for a couple of days afterwards. The first time I did it I couldn't believe how heavy they were.

speaking of van seats, i wish that the front seats on my 06 van would slide back more. they seem like they should, but just don't.
